Dr Berls was fantastic! He got me in there quickly and addressed my problem of severe tooth pain. He determined that a full root canal may not work because of a "crack" in the tooth. Therefore, he recommended trying a partial root canal for one third of the price. When I had no relief he surmised that I needed to have the tooth extracted and referred me back to my general dentist. I have since had the tooth extracted and saved thousands. What is most striking is that I went to another Root Canal specialist and was told that I needed a root canal and dismissed the crack. It was was going to cost me $3,600 but the surgeon had to reschedule 2x, Therefore I went to Dr Berls. He immediately had concerns about the crack that was not fully viewable on xray which is why he proposed a partial root canal to see if it would give any relief. We were only charged $600 for his consult and all his time and efforts. Lastly and most importantly, he listened to me intently and with compassion when I told him how much pain I was in. Later when he was doing the procedure he saw that I had break through pain and quickly extinguished it with another more powerful anesthetic which completely stopped the

Dr. Berls, like most dentists, seems genuinely concerned about relieving his patient's pain, and while I barely felt the local anesthesia injections actually apologizes for any pain. I am 66. My 1st root canal, the endodontist an absolute monster screaming at staff repeatedly, bouncing instrument off forehead, no apologies here, but "nice catch" to staff. 2d root canal, which I personally scheduled as a "consultation " not a procedure, omg. I have a law degree, and guy says re a secretary, "oh, she's really good at this " [like i am the idiot] so after 10 years of pain, my general dentist "let's keep an eye on this." I just did procedure, but like 1st RC not so pleasant. All about money. There's no pressure here. Dr has highest level of education, intellect, and professionalism, not out to make another dollar. In life, you get what you pay for. He has state of the art equipment and "presents" with sincere compassion. Highly recommend.
